Dr. Mahfi Eğilmez was the guest speaker at our Economics Club’s “Economics Meetings” conference, themed “Economic Expectations for 2019.” Dr. Mahfi Eğilmez, who has served for many years in public administration, the private sector, and universities, and is the author of numerous books and articles, assessed the Turkish and global economies through macroeconomic parameters, also conducting comparative analyses across countries and regions. Participants showed great interest in this excellent conference. Before the conference, we had a pleasant conversation with Dr. Mahfi Eğilmez, which included reminiscences of his days in the bureaucracy (Ankara).
