Conference: 2nd Annual International Conference on Social Sciences

The 2nd Annual International Conference on Social Sciences was held June 2–4, 2016, by our faculty. The conference began with an opening ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on October 2 in the Prof. Dr. Murat DEMİRCİOĞLU Conference Hall at our faculty.

Following the opening remarks by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Kenan AYDIN, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mesut GÜNER, the program continued with a presentation by Prof. Samuel BOWLES from the Santa Fe Institute.

A total of 105 participants from the United States, Germany, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indonesia, Ethiopia, France, South Africa, Georgia, India, Iran, England, Pakistan, Spain, Norway, Poland, and Turkey presented 91 papers during the conference sessions. These papers were presented in 25 distinct sessions throughout the conference. All sessions were held in the lecture and conference halls of the Faculty of Business Administration at Yıldız Technical University’s Davutpaşa Campus.

The conference sessions saw strong audience participation, including academics, instructors, undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students from Yıldız Technical University and various other universities in Turkey, as well as experts from the Esenler Municipality.

A gala dinner was held on Friday evening, June 3, at Otağ-ı Hümayun, one of the historic sites on the Davutpaşa Campus of Yıldız Technical University.
