As part of the Center for Strategic Studies’ events, a panel discussion titled “Migrants in Turkey: Comparisons and Experiences” was held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, in the Prof. Dr. Murat Demircioğlu Conference Hall at our Faculty. The panel, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Büyükbalcı, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Studies, featured Dr. Hasret Saygı from Maltepe University, shared her findings regarding the “perception of women” dimension from her research on Iraqi Turkmen migrants. Ms. Alev Alatlı, a member of the Presidential “Council on Culture and Arts Policies,” a thinker and writer deeply devoted to Turkey; joined us and our students at the invitation of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, YTÜ, to deliver a lecture. She brilliantly discussed the topics of Modernism and Postmodernism and the global developments in this context.
Orientation programs were held for the Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, and International Relations departments of our faculty during the 2019–2020 academic year.

Economics Club
Today, at an event organized by our Economics Club, we brought our faculty alumni together with our students. Our alumni—Aslıhan Ardıç İnan (Danone), Tuna Canatar (Lego), Işıl Şahin (HSBC), and entrepreneur Rıdvan Göçemen, who started his own business—all graduates of Yıldız School of Economics and Business Administration—shared the advantages of being a graduate of our school and their professional experiences with our students.
